Alexis
McLean
has been dancing almost all her life. She grew up
in Trenton, New Jersey and currently resides in Dover,
Delaware. Dancing since the age of 8, she received
several Mayors’ Awards for her acting and dancing
in the city of Trenton, has performed in The Wiz,
Transformations, East Side Story and Never Too Young
to Get Saved. She has also been a member of several
dance companies and organizations, such as MAP Express,
EXPO, Beat Street, Bodies In Motion and The Elite
Dancers.
Since coming
to Dover she has graduated from Delaware State University
with a Bachelors degree in Political Science in 2006
and is currently pursuing a master’s degree
in Business Administration. At Delaware State she
was member and
captain of the D’Elegance Marching Band Dancers
and has recently performed in a college production
of Michael Jackson’s Thriller.
She
has performed for many different occasions, such as
weddings, churches, Aids Conventions, National Urban
League, and for various local and well known Rap and
R&B artists and has opened shows for well known
artists such as Lloyd, Cassidy, Jim Jones, Two Pistols
and Colby O’Donnis. Alexis also choreographs
dances and feels privileged to have done pieces for
the Lincoln University Marching Band Dancers, Trenton
Central High Dancers, and The Wiz for Martin Luther
King Middle School.
She
loves bringing her art to others and has taught for
Trenton Community Charter School, Del Tech Dance Camp
for Kids, and will be working with Dance Moves and
Manners to lend her style of creative expressions
to a whole new audience by choreographing and teaching
children’s and adult classes and working with
wedding parties to offer them some “creative”
& “fun” dance moves to make their
special day entertaining…and unique!

Getting Married and want to do something special to
include your wedding party and to wow your crowd?
See something on U-Tube or MTV that you want to learn
to move to? Alexis will be working with Ballroom Dance
Teacher and Director Yvonne Cimone to come up with a
dance that will be all yours and will promise to be
memorable.
